Introduction: UPSC Kya Hai?
UPSC ka full form hai Union Public Service Commission. Ye ek constitutional body hai jo India me sabse badi aur prestigious exams conduct karti hai. Sabse important exam jo UPSC har saal conduct karti hai wo hai Civil Services Examination (CSE). Isi exam ke through candidates IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service) aur doosri Group A & B Group services me recruit hote hain.
Har saal lagbhag 10–12 lakh candidates UPSC exam ke liye apply karte hain, lekin selection sirf 800–1000 logon ka hota hai. Isi wajah se isse India ka toughest exam mana jata hai.

UPSC CSE Eligibility Criteria 2025
Eligibility ke latest details official notification se liye gaye hain.
Nationality
IAS & IPS – sirf Indian Citizen. Baaki services – India/Nepal/Bhutan ya Refugees jo India me settled hain.
Educational Qualification
Minimum Graduation hona zaroori hai (any stream). Final year students bhi apply kar sakte hain.
Age Limit
Minimum: 21 years. Maximum: 32 years (General) as of 1 August 2025.
Relaxation: OBC: +3 years (35 years tak), SC/ST: +5 years (37 years tak), PwD: +10 years.
Number of Attempts
General: 6 attempts, OBC: 9 attempts, SC/ST: Unlimited (age limit tak).

UPSC Exam Pattern 2025
UPSC exam teen stages me hota hai:
Stage 1 – Prelims
Do papers hote hain (MCQ based). Paper 1 – General Studies (200 marks). Paper 2 – CSAT (200 marks, qualifying). Negative marking – 1/3rd. Prelims sirf qualifying nature ka hota hai. Prelims ka score final merit list me count nahi hota.
Stage 2 – Mains
Total 9 papers hote hain (descriptive/written). Paper A – Indian Language (Qualifying). Paper B – English (Qualifying). Paper I – Essay (250 marks). Paper II – GS I (Indian Heritage, History, Geography, Society). Paper III – GS II (Polity, Governance, IR). Paper IV – GS III (Economy, Science, Environment, Security). Paper V – GS IV (Ethics, Integrity, Aptitude). Paper VI & VII – Optional Subject (250 marks each).
Stage 3 – Interview (Personality Test)
275 marks ka hota hai. Yaha candidate ke confidence, communication skills, decision-making, aur awareness test ki jati hai. Final merit = Mains (1750 marks) + Interview (275 marks) = 2025 marks.

History of India & Indian National Movement. Indian Polity & Governance. Economic & Social Development. General Science & Environment. Current Affairs (National & International). CSAT – Comprehension, Logical reasoning, Maths, Data Interpretation.

Essay Writing. GS Paper I – History, Art & Culture, Geography, Indian Society. GS Paper II – Polity, Constitution, Governance, International Relations. Step 1: NCERT Books. Class 6 to 12 ke NCERT (History, Geography, Polity, Economics, Science). Basic concepts clear karne ke liye ye sabse important hain.
Step 2: Standard Books. Polity – Laxmikant. History – Spectrum + NCERT. Geography – NCERT + GC Leong. Economy – Ramesh Singh + NCERT. Environment – Shankar IAS Book. Current Affairs – The Hindu / Indian Express / PIB / Yojana / Kurukshetra.
